Learning to cook helped propel Steven Roland, a former inner city teen from the San Francisco bay area, to Europe, where he worked as a professional chef. Now this passionate chef and teacher wants to give other inner city teens a taste of the same success. Chicago educators are frothing over missing cappuccino/espresso machines in a high school culinary arts program, despite a $70,000 outlay for their purchase.
